Create a 25th anniversary 2-CD release adding chamber string arrangements to the original solo guitar compositions featured on my 1997 'Invoking the Veiled Reference' album
Hello Music Fans and Project Supporters!
I am Guitar Composer Tom Salvatori and I have professionally recorded 15 original solo classical guitar pieces on an album called Invoking the Veiled Reference. The album was released in 1997 to a modest but steadily growing audience.
When I reflect back upon the late 1990's, it was a prolific time for my composing and recording...I was anxious to document my backlog of my solo guitar compositions so they would be safely preserved in case I got hit by the proverbial bus. In 2022 we will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Invoking the Veiled Reference.
When I started Salvatori Productions in 1995, I did so on a shoestring budget...so funding Chamber Ensemble Arrangements and hiring real string players was not a consideration.
It has always been my dream to re-visit Invoking the Veiled Reference with a real budget to:
- enable the creation of Chamber Ensemble Arrangements for my guitar pieces
- record the new Arrangements with real ensemble players (no synth here)
- produce a Deluxe 25th Anniversary 2-CD set album of Invoking the Veiled Reference:
- Disc 1: Featuring Guitar in Chamber Ensemble Arrangements
- Disc 2: Featuring the Original Guitar Solos
There is just something so special about collaboration that makes a solo guitar piece come to life. Perhaps it can best be described as coloring in the line drawings of a coloring book. Ensemble Arrangements add such contrast and beauty...and, to provide references of our work, I draw my inspiration from our award winning, critically acclaimed Chamber Ensemble releases...Late Night Guitar (2002), When Evening Falls (2007) and Ever Ever On 2-CD set (2010). I present these albums as testimony to the magic of adding ensemble arrangements to my guitar work and to hopefully encourage your support.
Your kind support will empower us to:
Summer, 2021: Collaborate and Create the Chamber Ensemble arrangements.
Fall, 2021: Record the new Arrangements with real Chamber Ensemble players while also designing the art and packaging.
Winter, 2021: Produce, Mix and Master the 25th Anniversary 2-CD release.
Can I count on you to help fund my dream project?
Thank you in advance for your consideration!
Tom Salvatori, Wheaton, IL
Tom Salvatori composes a deeply personal and intimate style of instrumental Nylon String Guitar music, which is quiet and soothing and helps people relax at the end of the day. Adults and children both listen to and enjoy his music during their quiet time or while they fall asleep at night. Most of Salvatori's music comes out sounding like quiet lullabies; probably because his favorite time to play and to compose is during the late night! Since college, Tom has chosen a musical path of composing his own uniquely styled works for the contemporary Nylon String Guitar rather than one of stage performance and the study of the works of the Masters.
